The Scanlon Project focused on elevating a modern three-bedroom home through refined, market-ready styling that enhances warmth, light, and spatial flow. The objective was to create a cohesive aesthetic that appeals to contemporary buyers while highlighting the home’s architectural simplicity.
The styling direction embraced a neutral foundation layered with warm earthy accents, natural textures, and clean-lined furnishings to create a calm yet inviting atmosphere throughout the property.
Theme: Modern Warm Minimalism
Palette: Soft whites, warm taupes, terracotta, natural timber
Textures: Linen, velvet, woven finishes, knitted textiles
Mood: Calm, inviting, light-filled, contemporary
The concept centred on balancing crisp white interiors with grounding organic tones to prevent the space from feeling stark. Texture layering played a key role in adding depth without overwhelming the rooms.
The living zone was styled to emphasise openness and flow. Neutral furnishings anchor the space, while warm-toned cushions and textured throws introduce dimension and softness.
Natural timber accents complement the flooring and cabinetry, creating harmony between architectural elements and décor. Styling was intentionally restrained to maintain spaciousness while ensuring visual interest through layered materials.
Key Features:
Cohesive neutral base
Earth-toned accent styling
Balanced proportions
Organic textures for warmth
The kitchen and dining areas were styled to enhance functionality while maintaining aesthetic continuity. Minimal table styling keeps the space practical yet refined, with subtle decorative elements that add warmth without clutter.
Timber and ceramic elements were introduced to soften hard surfaces and create a welcoming atmosphere.
Key Features:
Clean, uncluttered benchtops
Simple yet impactful dining styling
Natural materials to soften modern finishes
The master bedroom was styled as a serene retreat. Soft neutral bedding forms the foundation, elevated with tonal cushions and layered textiles for depth.

Styled to feel inviting and versatile, this room features warm terracotta accents layered over crisp white bedding. A curved headboard softens the room’s lines, while light timber bedside tables introduce warmth.
